Janurary 19, 2012

Capt-Paul
Hey, so it's 2012. I've got a ton of work to do and thousands of miles to put under my keel, but is it really worth it? Is 2012 the last year we are going to be around? Are the seas going to rise and the land disappear? Oh what the heck. If so, let it be.

Yep the Mayan Calendar ends on December 21, 2012. Many People are predicting that that's the end of time. It all stops. The World will exist no more. Wow! What a thought.

"But maybe we'll be gone tomorrow..."

You know, my calendar ends each year on December 31st. And in Staples, they have a new one. Time seems to go on. I'm not sure if we all might not be gone, somewhere, on December 22, 2012, but maybe. But maybe will be gone tomorrow. Maybe you will be. In some ones world, right now, they will be gone tomorrow. It may be them today, but it may be you or me tomorrow or on December 21, 2012.

So here's what I'm thinking... Why don't we come to grips that someday our day will come to not be here. But we are here NOW. I'm writing this and you're reading this, that means we are still here right now. So let's make the best of it.

Let's love each other, take care of each other, let each other know that we care and take care of our brothers, friends, family animals, the Seas and the Earth. It 's up to us to make a stand "Right Now."

So I'm thinking... Let's do what we can. Let's give a little extra to the people that take care of us. Leave that waitress or bartender and extra buck or two. Pitch in to clean a beach. Walk down your street, that's right walk down the street you live on and pick up that straw, paper cup, tin can, garbage bag or anything else that doesn't belong there and in a 20 minute walk, you can look over your shoulder and know that you made a difference.

Take a friend to dinner or lunch. Sing a song for no reason. Volunteer to help with your community projects. Build something, then give it a way. Hug some one. Clean the bathroom without being asked and while we are on the subject leave the seat down... Or if you care to, leave the seat up every once and a while.

It's a great World. It's the place to be right now. When you give a hug, feel the energy of the other person and give them yours. It's a silent way of saying, "I love you."

So let's go sailing, RIGHT NOW! - If not NOW... WHEN?

FantaSea Sailing is making great plans this year. Not just to help you get out on the water and enjoy EVERYTHING that Fort Myers Beach has to offer and not only to show you the best time you will have sailing in this area and not only to make you a part of our family. We are going to change the World....

We are connecting with local organizations that will help us help you. We are going to not only be the #1 sailing experience in the Fort Myers Beach area, we are going to make you a part of our project to be the best we can be "Together."

We will sail to the best places. We will take you to the best anchorages. We will serve you the BEST food aboard any vessel in the area. We will play music for you. I will share my "Magic" with you. We'll take you to the dolphins. We will engage you with the marine and wildlife. We will give you the best local information so you can enjoy your visit here. We will laugh with you, listen to you and enjoy the fact that we are becoming friends.

It's a great way to to business. We have done it over the past 20 years with Pat the Garlic Lady, Magic Wind Adventure Sailing, Brother Paul Magic, Wholesale Charlie and now FantaSea Sailing.

It's all a part of BP & P Enterprises. We started this adventure in 1991 and continue to let our Light shine where ever we are.

Our motto here is, "You call as a client, you board as a friend and you leave as family." We have found over the years, this works for us and our customers. You can look at three and a half guests books that are onboard and look at the stories. One after the other... We all had fun, and are continuing to do so aboard the amazing cruising vessel Panacea.

Our last sailing business is still going strong with the new owners Capt. Dan and Dianne Mendat. We are thankful and proud to have sold them our business and proud of the way they have kept it running.

We built up Magic Wind Adventure Sailing to the #1 attraction in Fort Myers on Trip Adviser. With our new Trip adviser Account, we are well on our way to another amazing business with 100% Excellent Rating, at this time, thanks to the people out there that were looking for a special and GREAT time on the water. Our reviews speak for themselves. Be sure and check them out. I was hoping to include some special thoughts from my last business, but they have been deleted some how. I know they are still in the memories of the people that have sailed with us before.

So it's 2012. We are excited to be alive. We share our enthusiasm with everyone we meet. We support our community and our other local businesses. We are sailing greener. We are loving life and we are excited to be available to you once again in full capacity.

Call us for Half Day Adventures, Sunset Celebration Sails, The Short Sail (2.5 hours), Full Moon Voyages and Custom Multi-Day Overnight Charters.

Panacea is ready to take you on that special trip on the water. She's 35 thousand pounds of cruising vessel that's just waiting for you to join the party.

From our family to yours... Happy NEW year.

See You on the Dock...
